My motivation for working as a Senior Governance, Risk and Compliance consultant is to contribute to ensuring companies continued operations and resilience. This requires a holistic effort in which processes, technology, and people together form the necessary foundation for information security and preparedness.
This approach is particularly relevant considering the NIS2 Directive, which imposes increased requirements on many organisations and companies. This applies, among others, to organisations within pharmaceutical production, public authorities, municipalities, utilities, and suppliers to critical entities. For these actors, it is essential to work systematically with information security and continuity to secure future operations.
My role is to support management and the business in developing, implementing, and maintaining the preparedness needed to ensure the organisation’s continued operations. In this context, IT processes represent a central part of the infrastructure that holds the organisation together and supports communication, collaboration, and business‑critical functions. In a figurative sense, it’s the glue that holds the organisation together.
For some companies, working with strengthened preparedness can create a real competitive advantage. For others, it is a prerequisite for participating in public tenders or meeting regulatory requirements.
My experience shows that significant results can be achieved through a few targeted initiatives that strengthen basic information security.
